Amit Bajaj

Lead - Content Strategy | Africa, Middle East and India, Nissan Motors

Amit Bajaj is a serial ‘brand communicator’ who has spent a career at the intersection of media, marketing communications and technology, building leading edge strategies that empower the most demanding marketing challenges for a brand and story-tell across an ever expanding array of communication platforms.
Amit is the Lead – Content Strategy at Nissan Motors for Africa, Middle East and India market.
With over a decade of experience in marketing communications, Amit has experimented with a range of communications channels and tactics for crafting creative and interesting brand promotion programs.
Before Nissan, he was holding the position of Country General Manager at Michelin Tyres and led brand image and digital marketing communications for the brand in India. He worked closely on defining the multi-year vision along with product marketing team to change the way the company communicates on digital, social and on ATL.
Prior to Michelin, Amit was at GE where he has led many significant initiatives augmenting GE’s brand positioning including starting GE’s social media presence in the region. His work has been recognized within and outside the organization.
During his stint at GE, he was awarded ‘Content Marketer of the Year’ Award 2016 by DMAi Asia and also won a team award at the Sabre Awards. Prior to GE, Amit was associated with DDB Group where he led one of the largest key accounts for the group in India - PepsiCo. Several of his campaigns won laurels at domestic and international marketing award shows.
Amit is a speaker on the future of digital creativity and experiential marketing. He is passionate about content marketing. His latest work of a web series called – The Secret Ingredient was well appreciated by the stakeholders.
He sits on the board of IILM institutes across Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.
He is optimistic about the coming era in which new tools will enable people and brands to create experiences and tell stories that are more engaging, effective and beautiful than ever before.
Amit is a MICA alumnus and has read his Bachelors at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He holds his PGDM from IILM.
His interests lie in traveling, photography and music. He resides in New Delhi, India and has worked in India and Australia.
