Rajappa’s work life has centred on strategic leadership roles and he has earned a reputation for leading resurgence in every company that he has helmed.
In a professional career spanning over 30 years, of which he has over 25 years in Marketing Communications & Advertising industry with about 2 decades at Rediffusion Y&R. He thrived in challenging situations, won many new businesses and leveraged existing assets to create value for all stakeholders. He progressed from Delhi office head to CEO of Sri Lankan operations before moving back to India as Head of Everest Brand Solutions and eventually to Lead Rediffusion Y&R as President. Rajappa has left his strategic imprint on many leading Indian & MNC brands with innovative solutions for their business growth and towards creating enduring value thru brand building.
In the next phase of his professional journey, he was inspired by the emergence and impact of digital technology on business disrupting many industries and disciplines . This motivated him to focus on the Enterprise Consulting space to experiment with new technologies in marketing and media, formulating solutions for business growth by integrating business strategy and brand strategy.
Rajappa has ideated and implemented strategic solutions using Digital technology to bring accountability and impact on Business performance and Marketing across product categories, from FMCG, Health & Wellness to Corporate accommodation and Gaming besides others. Leveraging analytics to customise Consumer experiences and enhance their brand engagement to deploy application for managing sales force and channel optimisation.
MarTech deployment has enhanced accountability by lowering Cost of Customer Acquisition by focussed targeting, their retention and optimisation to deliver profitable business growth. Adoption of New technologies will give a competitive edge and define the winners of tomorrow. Rajappa is also a sports enthusiast and an avid Golfer.
