Venkat Mallik, after an MBA from the premiere XLRI, has worked for over two and a half decades with leading agencies like JWT, Leo Burnett, Euro RSCG and DDB, holding Profit Centre and Board level positions for over a decade and a half. He also spent a few years with marketing giant Unilever in their Brand Marketing team.
Venkat has been an early mover into Digital (as early as 2005) when he helped pioneer online gaming into India as MD of a very successful International online gaming company. He followed that up with a move to DDB to manage their new age (digitally led) communication entities first with RAPP, and then additionally for Tribal DDB. He led both RAPP & Tribal DDB to be strong and successful agencies.
Venkat has managed well over 50 different brands including Unilever, IndianOil, Ultratech, Aditya Birla Group, HDFC, SmithKline Beecham, McDonald’s, among others. He has also helped build large businesses and successful start-ups in the Advertising Communication & Digital space. Venkat is now CEO & Chief Strategy Officer at Tidal7, a new Brand & Digital Agency which has been working with clients like Tata Croma, Club Mahindra, Reliance Retail, Deepak Fertilizers, HP Lubricants, among others.
Venkat also serves on the Board of Advisors of one of India’s fastest growing Digital agencies - Langoor Digital. Venkat has been part of the Campaign Agency A List and the Impact Digital 100 list for multiple years.
